Fri Sep 4, 2009, 2:23 PM
Honestly I do not know

Signed up on twitter- I do facebook as well, since we live in a techno society and people do want to know what each other is up to, I think. So here i am - look for travsthebean I guess on twitter (though is twitter really worth it?) or just travis hanson on facebook and say hi. I still post though most of my art and such here and on panelflow.com.

Also issue 2 news on the way

Anyways that's all for the moment- trav

Twitter, hmm.... I guess mini blogging is an interesting idea but I think it has the same flaws as normal blogging, in other words; I don't think I would have that many friends who would be interested to hear my bullcrap :D

You can do the same thing as twittering in both facebook and myspace by updating your "What's on your mind" for me that's just redundant and SILLY to have all the different places and visit them all as well Weird ...some stream them together posting at one and having it auto link to others but at that point I have to wonder why some kind of EGO tripping. Now I do have friends that are at one site and not another but I just message them directly rather than play the LOOK AT ME GAME lol

Twitter always reminds me of the line from "Bambi" when the owl is tell the young ones about love and calls it being "twitterpated."

I'm on too many sites already. Don't need another one.

I always thought that Twitter is a waste if you facebook. You can write so much more if you facebook, or you can just update, which is the same as tweeting.
My two cents, anyway.

I believe twitter is one of the best promotional tools out there. namely because you can spread stuff so easily. one right click from other users and your news is spread.
I dont think the auction my art was just in would be such a success if it wasnt for my twitter promotion.

I don't think Twitter is worth it. Then again, I don't have a mobile device to interface with it. I think if I did, it would be worth it. As it is, I don't know the best way to connect to it, and follow the updates I'm interested in. As has been pointed out though... it's a huge news / promotional tool these days.

I also find the Twitter character limit TOO short. It's basically Facebook status updates on steroids. I use Facebook, but I don't even log on that much. From some of the updates and stuff I see people doing on Facebook, it's obvious that they spend WAY too much time on it... WAY too much time on it, doing meaningless things. On the other hand, Facebook IS a great networking tool.

I basically don't even think most of those network pages are worth it. At least not if you have more important stuff to do than updating every single bit of your private life.

i think twitter is awesome. always people posting updates for their sites and stuff. plus alot of people ustream now and they will let everyone know when they do. it's a really great tool for artists. thats the only reason i joined but i love it.
plus like you said, it's fun to see what people are up to. i just like reading that there are alot of other people who spent the whole day drawing as well. basking in the pain... i mean awesomeness
